I had so much fun hanging out with Andrew and Jody on their wedding day. I just love it when a bride and groom really value the images that are unique to a wedding day. They alloted plenty of time after the wedding to go up to Andrew’s favorite spot in his hometown, a beautiful lookout point that had the most incredible views of the countryside. I have never experienced Oklahoma like this before, there were hills and trees and water everywhere you looked. It was amazing. Andrew and Jody were so precious together, genuinely enjoying each other and their special day.
I went a few weeks ago to Ft. Worth to photograph Matt and Ashley’s engagements. Let me tell you, I am super fired up about their June wedding in Brownwood. I was getting so excited listening to the details about their gorgeous reception location, June can’t come quick enough! We had a great time wandering about Ft. Worth and found some super cool locations. What I loved most about Matt and Ashley was their ability to crack each other up. They were so at ease in each others presence and would just laugh and laugh at each other. I know we’re going to have a great time at the wedding!
Meet Brandon and Jaclyn. We had a great time on a beautiful sunny Central Texas day. These two are great together, can’t wait for the wedding this June!
For the month of November, I am going to post every day something I am thankful for. Since I just decided this with only 4 hours left in the first day of November-I’m going to pick an easy one. When I think of what I am thankful for, John pops into my mind. I seriously could not have imagined finding anyone more perfect for me than him. He is my best friend. He keeps me balanced. He makes me laugh. He knows I like to feel safe and protects that, but pushes me when I’m being ridiculous. He brings me breakfast in bed on a Tuesday for no reason. He pushes me to work hard but also gets me to have more fun than I would have found on my own. He loves to play. Ultimate frisbee, drums, guitar, cards, games, with the dog. He doesn’t worry about what others think of him, he’s honest and has more character and integrity than anyone I know. We fit together like a couple of puzzle pieces. Perfectly. We click. And so I am thankful. For all of these reasons and more. I am thankful for my husband.
Meet the Greathouse family. If there was ever a family that made me want to have kids, this is the one. The interaction between these four people is so great to watch. Brant and Megan are great parents, I think Cade is pretty much a genius. He had memorized two separate bible verses before he was three years old! And you should see him with Lily. He loves his baby sister so much. He tells me every time I see him how beautiful she is. Ahh, it kills me. If I can have kids like this someday and a family like this, I will be truly blessed.
Brandy and Brandon had a beautiful day. The morning threatened rain (which we wouldn’t have minded!) but it sprinkled just enough to give us a little bit of a break from the intense heat we have had all summer. By the time the ceremony rolled around, we had the most perfect, warm light that lit up these two people in love. It was a special ceremony, with Brandy’s kids saying a vow to their new dad and a new family being joined together. Everyone was relaxed and there to celebrate Brandy and Brandon. I loved being able to document such a beautiful wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at the Duren Hotel, which is less than 20 minutes from Goldthwaite. I love being in such a beautiful part of Texas. Congratulations you two!
Cousin…such great pics!! Tell me, how do you enlarge your pics? I’m still on Blogspot.com and have read some How To’s on enlarging them and haven’t been able to figure it out. How did you do it when you were on blogspot.com?
Love you!!!
If you have not been to downtown Goldthwaite recently, you are totally missing out. A new shop opened a few weeks ago here in G-Town and it is definitely worth checking out. Kelly and Amanda own the store and both have a great sense of fashion. They find the cutest and trendiest pieces, giving Goldthwaite shoppers a reason to stay in town and shop. They sell designer jeans, tops, dresses, accessories, and children’s clothing. It’s a great place to spend a couple of hours trying everything on. My favorite thing is buying a cute new piece without leaving Goldthwaite!
Brandy got married just a few weeks ago and I had the great pleasure of shooting her wedding. That post will be up in a few days, but for now here is Brandy’s bridal session. She wore the cutest cowboy (girl?) boots with her wedding dress and I was totally inspired by the country look she had going. We found some really great spots around Goldthwaite, I was super excited to find such vibrant colors and cool textures so close to my new home! Brandy was a brave gal, we were on the lookout for snakes, spiders, and anything else that might live in and around abandoned broken down structures. She wasn’t fazed by any of it and I was ready to jump out of my own boots if I even heard a hint of a scamper. I love brides like that!
Chelsea, I had never done a photo shoot before and you made it so much fun. Thank you so much for all of your hard work on all of our photo’s. In the past I have never thought that I took very good pictures at all. Your work changed my mind. Your such an amazing person and can’t wait for more family pictures, cause let me tell you YOU HAVE THE JOB!!!
What I loved most about Juliane and Chris was their laughter together. They couldn’t stand next to each other without a least a giggle. Their love and happiness together was genuine and easy to see. Juliane and Chris love to bowl together. They have their own shoes and personalized bowling balls and I just couldn’t resist asking to get a few shots of them in their wedding day attire accompanied with their bowling attire. I loved that we were able to capture unique images that say so much about who these two are together. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your special day!
I had the joy of shooting Miranda and Joe’s wedding in June. I had shot Miranda’s bridal session a few months earlier and had to wait until after the wedding to post them. It’s always killer waiting that long to post such a fun session. I met Miranda and her mom and sister in downtown Dallas at the Old Red Courthouse, her wedding venue. We started with some fun shots there and then drove to her soon to be home and snuck Joe’s prized Camaro away so we could get a few shots with it. Miranda surprised Joe at the wedding with a big print of her in his Camaro, he had no idea we had even taken the picture! His reaction was priceless. We finished up at the the Dallas Arboretum and found some gorgeous scenes. Miranda was glowing like the quintessential bride to be and was absolutely wonderful to photograph.
LOVE!! The are so cute!!
